Ti Guan Yin, also spelt "Ti Kuan Yin" or "Ti Kwan Yin", translates as "Iron Goddess of Mercy" as the dry leaves are much heavier than those used in other teas. The tealeaves have the reputation of producing “a fragrance remaining after seven times infusions” and it produces a light, sweet cup of tea with a mature taste and a lingering aftertaste of fragrant orchid.
