This is a red Cinnabar Feng Shui snuff bottle with peaches and leaves design surrounding the bottle.

Cinnabar is a red coloured lacquer produced from tree sap; it has been used for 3000 years to decorate wooden artefacts. It has been applied in many layers before the intricate patterns have been carved into it.

The lid, with a flower design, is attached to a spoon carved out of bone.

The bottle measures approximately 7cm high x 5cm in width and 2.5 cm in depth.
