This is a beautiful picture that displays the rich colours of brocade. The excellent craftsmanship gives the picture an unusual 3d effect. There is also an interesting combination of textures used from the delicate smooth surface of the dolls face, the softness of the flowers to the slate like finish of the board that the doll has been mounted on. The board has a matt black finish with specks of tiny particles in it that subtlety reflects the light. The two Chinese characters is the signature of the maker with his name stamp underneath.
