How to order from Gifts Of The Orient
Ordering from Gifts Of The Orient follows a simple point and click process;
Brows the site, find the items you want, add the item to “the cart” and continue shopping the same way.
Once you are satisfied with your purchases click “view cart” and you will be shown the content of what you have placed in your shopping cart so far.
Click “proceed to check out” and follow the payment instructions to allow us to collect the necessary information for payment and delivery details.
All prices displayed are end user UK prices including local UK tax.
We aim to keep our website up to date at all times and to make sure that items displayed are available for sale. In the unlikely event that an item is out of stock we will contact you by email to discuss delivery options or cancellation of your order.
Whole sale enquiries and general enquiries on availability are best handled by telephone to our offices.
Paying for your goods
You can pay for your purchases direct through PayPal, by any major credit card through, by £ Sterling cheque in the UK, or by bank transfer.
Payment will have to clear into our bank account before we ship your goods and this will have an effect on the delivery schedule. Clearing funds through the banks in the UK normally takes 7 working days.
Dispatch and delivery
We aim to dispatch goods, in stock, the next business day after payment has cleared into our bank account.
Our working week is Monday to Friday 9am to 3pm, excluding Bank Holidays and other major official holidays.
Goods are dispatched using “signed for services” to ensure that we can track the items after dispatch.
Please ensure that somebody is available at the delivery address to sign for and receive the goods.
We are currently using the following postal methods;
For mainland United Kingdom – Parcel Force 48 and Royal Mail First Class Recorded service
For Europe – Parcel Force International signed for

If you need to return the item then please do so within 14 days from receiving it, returned as sold in its original condition and documentation. We will refund the item and the delivery charge to the buyer when we have received the item. A refund will be issued within 30 days.
Personal information submitted to our company will be held in confidence, whether it is submitted by telephone, fax or e-mail. Our policy is to retain a secure customer data base to allow us to communicate with you and to keep you informed about product and site updates. We will not share, copy or sell our data base to any third party. If you decide that you no longer want to be included on our email list then please press the reply button and insert “ Remove “ in the subject title so that we can help you with this.
We source our product from a series of different countries. Some of the Japanese style products are made in China and are therefore price competitive. Please contact us if you want to have information on the origin of a specific product.
